Model
My name is Dahlia Vanderbeek and I’ve been a resident tattoo artist at Renegade Tattoo Canada for over 10 years now. I started my journey as a co-op student at the end of my high school career. From there I went directly into my apprenticeship and have been working ever since. Over the years I’ve learned a lot about myself and the industry. Learning new styles and fine tuning the basic fundamentals so that I can give my clients the best work I’m capable of. I enjoy doing a lot of different styles but over all I like to do pieces with lots of bright colours and pop culture themes.
Ambassador
I’ve been a part of the Ottawa - Gatineau Tattoo Expo for the past 3 years and have been invited back this year as well. I’ve also attended Inked Circus in Markham, Barrie and twice in London. NIX in Toronto is another show that I was fortunate enough to be invited to and was successful at. Doing conventions was one of the biggest things I’ve been working towards since the start. It’s only been the past 2 years that I’ve started entering my pieces into the conventions contests as well. I’m very thankful for the support I’ve received over the years from everyone I was able to work with. From conventions to repeat clients and even a small flash piece going viral on TikTok I’ve had quite the adventure. I don’t know what the future will bring but my goal is to keep improving my art and working on building a stronger portfolio. Hopefully one day I’ll be able to travel across the country and do some guest spots at other shops.
